Assembler Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, write, test, and optimize Assembler code for mainframe systems.
• Maintain and enhance legacy Assembler applications to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate Assembler components with COBOL/Java applications.
• Optimize system performance using tools like IBM RMF and OMEGAMON.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues using advanced debugging tools.
• Mentor junior developers and lead knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Contribute to system modernization strategies and decisions.

Requirements

• Expertise in Assembler (HLASM) programming and mainframe systems (IBM z/OS, MVS, CICS, DB2)
• Experience with performance tools (IBM Debug Tool, Abend-AID, OMEGAMON)
• Strong knowledge of memory management and system programming
• Experience integrating Assembler with COBOL, PL/I, or Java
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• 7+ years of experience in Assembler development, with at least 5 years in mainframe systems
• IBM Certified System Programmer and z/OS Mastery Certifications are a plus
• Very good command of English
