Data Engineer

We are looking for a proactive and solution-oriented Data Engineer who thrives on collaboration and continuous learning. The ideal candidate communicates clearly and effectively, contributing to the development of our Enterprise Data Warehouse.

The role & the team:

You will join the AI Data Engineering Team, whose main goal is to build and maintain robust ETL/ELT solutions for our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). The team is responsible for integrating, transforming, and ensuring the high quality and consistency of data, especially for our machine learning models. You will be instrumental in developing a stable and modern data environment to support business analysis and AI initiatives.

What will you do:

• Design, implement, and optimize robust ETL/ELT solutions for data integration and transformation into the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).

• Analyze source data structure, quality, and consistency, and prepare it for integration and transformation processes.

• Develop and maintain processes that transform data specifically for analytical and business reporting purposes.

• Evolve and manage the technological stack of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) tools to ensure a stable and modern environment.

• Create, update, and maintain essential process documentation within the EDW to ensure compliance, continuity, and easy access to information.

• Monitor and verify data quality within ETL/ELT processes, ensuring the correctness, consistency and overall efficiency of the EDW data processes.

  
  

Required skills:

Experience:

• Proven experience working with large datasets and practical knowledge of building and optimizing ETL/ELT processes.

• Experience working with a data platform like Snowflake (preferred) or similar.

• Experience in preparing data specifically for machine learning models.

• Practical knowledge of data governance principles, ensuring compliance and security within ETL/ELT processes.

Language:

• English: at least B1 level (allowing for technical documentation use and creation, and international cooperation).

• Polish.

Tools:

• Proficiency in SQL.

• Knowledge of Python, Pandas, Jinja and Snowpark.

• Working knowledge of dbt or other data modeling/transformation layer tools.

• Experience with Dagster/Airflow or other orchestration tools.

• Knowledge of Airbyte.

Soft Skills:

• Focus on collaboration and finding solutions.

• Ability for clear and effective communication.
