Engineering Manager

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead architecture, reliability, IT operations, and security for our Client. This role combines strategic technical ownership with hands-on leadership across engineering, infrastructure, and technology governance.

Location: Warsaw / Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the Client’s technology direction, ensuring system architecture is scalable, coherent, and aligned with long-term business goals.

• Lead engineering operations across infrastructure, DevOps, database administration, system reliability, and enterprise IT support.

• Ensure high system reliability through strong observability, monitoring, incident management, and ownership of BCP/DRP and continuous improvement.

• Oversee cloud usage and cost optimization, maintaining high-quality CI/CD pipelines and release processes.

• Provide architectural guidance to development teams, resolve cross-squad technical dependencies, and ensure solution quality.

• Define and enforce IT policies, access controls, asset management practices, and oversee IT budget and vendor relationships.

• Collaborate with Product & Technology teams on L1/L2/L3 support processes, SLAs, and escalation workflows.

• Strengthen engineering excellence by promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and mentoring senior engineers and tech leads.

• Own security execution, including policies, risk management, compliance, tooling oversight (WAF, endpoint protection), and alignment with Group CISO.

• Maintain documentation and KPI dashboards, ensuring architectural clarity, compliance evidence, and transparent operational reporting.

  
  

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• 4+ years of experience managing development or engineering teams, including system architecture leadership.

• 8+ years of experience in software development and designing scalable, high-availability systems.

• Hands-on experience with cloud and SaaS environments.

• Strong knowledge of software development cycle especially in backend: C#, .NET, Entity Framework, SQL and frontend: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, Angular/AngularJS

• Proficiency with tools such as Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, Docker, Redis.

• Broad understanding of software architecture, testing, system integration, and system administration.

• Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and engineering productivity practices.

• Understanding of operations, product management principles, and UX/UI fundamentals.

• Proven leadership, mentoring, and communication skills—including the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.

• Strategic mindset and ability to connect infrastructure, security, and technology decisions with business objectives.
