Job description

About the company

  • The Swarm is a start-up with offices in San Francisco and Kraków, building a new professional network management platform.

  • The company is generating revenue and has received funding from top-tier VC firms and strategic partners

  • The team is currently 12 people. The CEO is a second-time founder and the founding team has a strong start-up pedigree with 9-figure exits under their belt.

About the role

  • We are seeking a curious and passionate Junior Data Analyst to join our team and grow their skills in a fast-paced start-up environment.

  • We are a data and AI-driven startup, which means data isn't just a byproduct of our business; it is our business.

  • In this role, you will primarily support our Data Scientist and Engineers and work on projects at the intersection of Data, Engineering, and Business.

  • A very good command of English is a must. You will work closely with stakeholders and customers to understand their needs, ask the right questions, and translate that into clear and meaningful insights based on broad sets of data.

  • You will also support the Sales and Customer support teams with data sampling, data quality evaluations etc.

  • Solid analytical fundamentals are necessary (data manipulation, statistical analysis), but we value a proactive mindset, ownership, and a willingness to learn over ticking every technical box. Tools like Python and SQL will support your work, but what matters most is how you think.

  • You will work alongside a talented team with backgrounds at top companies like Uber, Google, and Brainly, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship from experts.

  • Experience with Elasticsearch or APIs is a plus, but not required.

  • Recent graduates and students nearing the end of their studies are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and benefits

  • Terms, compensation, and contract type are to be negotiated individually.

  • Flexible hours and hybrid remote work policy. Part-time is possible, but no less than 30h/week.

  • Occasional visits to the office are mandatory, so only candidates based in or around Kraków will be considered.

  • It can be a formal internship if needed.

  • Private health insurance.

  • Unlimited PTO.

  • $100 monthly stipend for work-related purchases (equipment, training, etc.).

  • Laptop, monitor, etc.

Next steps

  • The recruitment process will consist of a take-home task and a technical interview.
