About the role
We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Store Platform area. As part of your responsibilities, you'll be working on the Rollout API. It's a platform and application deployment channel, which we're using to plan, execute, monitor and perform post execution tasks for multi-device rollout across the enterprise. The scale of the scope makes it very interesting, as currently we have over 37,000 Tesco Tills across the UK and Ireland.
You will be responsible for
Product Ownership: Own and evolve the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for the rollout process for platform and applications.
Customer-Centric solutions: Work directly with customers to address their problems, build solutions and drive fast adoption.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with developers, deployment teams, and other product managers (e.g. platform and pipeline leads) to deliver cohesive and performant solutions across multiple teams in different geographies
Agile Delivery: Manage sprint planning, feature grooming, prioritizing user stories, and driving iterative delivery of high-value features, collecting feedback.
Fast and safe installations and deployment: Ensure Tesco business applications, platforms are always available, up to date and safe.
You will need
Experience:
Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably on platform management and deployment
Demonstrated discovery skills in technical product management- able to engage with engineers, surface their problems, and design smart solutions.
Familiarity with development and deployment lifecycle, tools and process
Strong product management fundamentals – vision, strategy, backlog management, prioritisation, user story writing and execution
Strong interpersonal skills including communication, negotiations and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile and/or Kanban. Good working knowledge of tools like Aha, Confluence, Jira.
