Shopify Developer

We are seeking a technically proficient Shopify Developer to support and enhance global e-commerce operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth technical functioning of the Shopify platform, along with its associated features and integrations. Working closely with digital and e-commerce leadership, the role focuses on the implementation of new features, performance optimization, issue resolution, and technical delivery across various global initiatives.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams both internally and externally to bring high-quality e-commerce experiences to life while maintaining platform performance, stability, and compliance.

Your role

• Provide ongoing technical support for daily e-commerce operations, particularly focused on Shopify platform management and related integrations.
• Partner with the E-commerce Delivery Manager and Senior Digital Manager to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to feature implementation, system enhancements, and platform performance optimization.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors on e-commerce-related projects across multiple markets and teams.
• Deliver clean, maintainable, and accessible code that follows best practices and platform guidelines.
• Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of technical issues.
• Remain flexible to handle a diverse portfolio of technical tasks and switch between projects as needed.

Requirements

• Proficient in Shopify development, including experience with Checkout Extensibility, custom apps, and Shopify Functions.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Liquid templating, and modern front-end development using JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, React, Vue, etc.
• Familiarity with Ruby and SQL for backend logic and data handling.
• Experience with Shopify APIs and Webhooks for third-party integrations.
• Solid understanding of tracking and analytics, including Google Tag Manager (GTM), GA4, pixel setup, and dataLayer implementation.
• Awareness of accessibility standards (ADA), GDPR compliance, and cookie consent tools (e.g., Cookiebot, OneTrust, Consentmo).
• Experience replicating UI designs using tools like Figma, with good understanding of UX/UI best practices.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA/testing workflows, and project delivery methodologies.
• Ability to work independently in a distributed team environment, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
• A “can-do” attitude with adaptability and fast learning capability.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, .NET, and C#.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Relevant certifications in e-commerce platforms or front-end development are a plus.
