Kotlin Backend Developer

As a Senior Kotlin Backend Developer in our client's Consulting practice, you'll contribute to multiple implementation workstreams and work closely with agile teams to deliver both project and client objectives. We're seeking enthusiastic developers eager to help drive our client’s projects forward. You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies and have the chance to design and implement innovative solutions alongside leading experts in their fields. Being part of our client’s global team, you’ll engage in international projects that leverage the latest in data technologies and cloud-based platforms.

Your role

• Take on the role of a Senior Kotlin Backend Developer in building a new microservices-based application

• Work closely with agile team members to deliver on both project and client objectives

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Science, or a related technical field

• At least 3 years of experience in a corporate IT environment in a comparable role

• Proven hands-on experience with Kotlin and microservices in real-world projects

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Deep knowledge of Kotlin for backend development, supported by 3+ years of commercial experience

• Solid understanding and practical experience with microservice architectures

• Familiarity with Quarkus and OpenAPI is a plus

• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with at least one relational database engine

• Experience with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes

• Bonus points for knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Maven

• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written

• Background in working on international projects

• Experience working within agile and Scrum-based development teams
