Main tasks
- setup CI/CD pipelines for multilanguage microservice based applications
- create deployment scripts for Kubernetes native applications (via Helm Charts, GitOps)
- create and maintain cloud-based infrastructures via Infrastructure as Code scripts
- ensure compliance with security and data privacy requirements via policy as a code
- setup Kubernetes based platforms for multi-cloud and on-prem use-cases
- support testers with test automation setup
- create monitoring solutions for application and infrastructure
- create releases and deploy them to production
- ensure applications are provided in zero downtime manner
- act as 3rd level support in case of incidents
- working in an agile environment with cross-functional teams and DevOps working mode
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in the following areas: Computer science, Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent work experience in IT
- Experience with working in Agile environments esp. Scrum, Kanban and SAFe
- 3+ years of DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering experience
- experience maintaining and deploying to Kubernetes (managed/unmanaged on cloud, on premises)
- experience with public clouds (Azure, AWS, Google, OTC)
- experience with managing Kubernetes clusters eps. in clouds (AKS, EKS, GKE)
- development of Kubernetes manifests ideally as Helm Charts
- administration of Kuberneters clusters in multi-cluster, multi-cloud setup
- good understanding of networks esp. in cloud environments
- experience in distributed cluster monitoring solutions
- knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud native designs
- Tools experience:
- Gitlab CI/CD
- GitOps Tools e.g. ArgoCD, FluxCD, Fleet
- Multi-cluster management tools like Rancher (preferred), CAPI, Kubesphere etc.
- Control Plane solutions for Kubernetes like crossplane (preferred), kcp.io, kro.run etc.
- CNI plugins for Kubernetes like Cilium, Calico etc.
- Kubernetes policy as a code tools like Kyverno (preferred), OPA
- Monitoring tools like Grafana Stack, Prometheus, Loki, Thanos, OpenTelemetry distributions etc.
- Build and packaging tools like maven, gradle, npm, yarn
- Any modern IDE (ItelliJ IDEA, VS Code, etc.)
- Jira, Confluence
- Strong communication skills and excellent written and verbal communication competences in English, German is advantage
- Motivation to learn and close missing gaps
- Willingness to travel, nationally/ internationally and able to work with teams locally and globally

We will invite you to one or two project meetings to confirm that we have a ‘perfect match'. The meetings may last between 30 minutes and 90 minutes, during which time we will talk to you about mutual expectations and the vision for our collaboration. You will also most likely meet your future supervisor and your teammate during this time.
At this stage, we will have decided that you are the person we want to develop our projects with. We will then come back to you with an offer of collaboration, hoping for your "yes". If for some reason, we are unable to offer you a position in our team, you will certainly receive feedback from us explaining our decision.
