We are looking for a Senior Python Software Engineer to join our engineering team that is building End-to-End Investment Management System. If you’re passionate about clean code, data engineering, and solving real-world business problems without a buffer layer, this role is for you. As a core member of the engineering team, you’ll work directly with the client — discuss business needs, proposing solutions, and delivering robust, production-grade code.
- 7+ years of professional experience in Python software engineering.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
- Comfortable working directly with stakeholders (no BA on the project).
- Confident in working with:
- Pandas DataFrames
- SQLAlchemy
- SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar dialects)
- Python virtual environments
- Pytest (or similar test frameworks)
- Intermediate+ experience with:
- AWS (S3, IAM) or a similar cloud platform
- Multiprocessing, multithreading, asyncio
- Availability until 7 PM (Poland time) at least 3 days a week for crossover with client located in NY.

Design and implement engineering solutions that directly support the customer’s business goals.

Collaborate closely with quantitative analysts to gather, clarify, and refine requirements through direct communication (no intermediary Business Analyst).

Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery process, from understanding the problem to deploying stable and maintainable solutions.

Present completed work during regular demo sessions, clearly explaining the value delivered and technical decisions made.

Contribute to maintaining high production stability and quality, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Confident experience with:
- AWS ECS, AWS DataZone
- Data engineering tools: ETL pipelines, Airflow, Dagster, etc.
- Knowledge of Terraform, Docker, CI/CD.
- Experience in the fintech domain, particularly:
- Equities
- Backtesting
- Financial simulations
