Senior Python Developer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Back End Python Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Poland. Our client is a leading global provider that gathers information and reports to enhance the environmental and social impacts on the business. 

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in building scalable, high-quality applications. 

Tech Stack

• Backend: Python, Django + SQLAlchemy, Celery + RabbitMQ, OpenAPI; 

• DB: PostgreSQL, Redis; 

• Frontend: React + TypeScript, OpenAPI, Playwright; 

• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines; 

• Infrastructure: k8s+Terraform, Azure, Heroku, GCP. 

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend with Python and its frameworks.

• Comprehensive understanding of the web development process: design, development, deployment, and maintenance.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

• The ability to plan, track, and ensure timely delivery

• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate within squads.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, C++, C#, Rust, Ruby, and Go.

• Experience in frontend development with React and TypeScript.

• The ability to manage development projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications collaborating within cross-functional squads such as engineers, designers, and product managers.

• Actively participate in squad meetings to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, leveraging cross-functional expertise to address complex challenges.

• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and contribute to improving code quality and test automation within a team-oriented environment.

• Collaborate with the team to share knowledge and foster a culture where everyone can learn and grow together.

• Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in web development, sharing knowledge and insights with cross-functional teams to drive innovation.
