Senior Fullstack (React/RoR) Developer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with React and Ruby on Rails for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Europe. Our client is a leading global provider that gathers information and reports to enhance the environmental and social impacts on the business.

This role requires working hours with overlap till 7pm-8pm CET.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in React with TypeScript.

• Experience with Ruby on Rails-based back-end development.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

• The ability to plan, track, and ensure timely delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications collaborating within cross-functional squads: engineers, designers, and product managers.

• Actively participate in squad meetings to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

• Ensure smooth UX, performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, leveraging cross-functional expertise to address complex challenges.

• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and contribute to improving code quality and test automation within a team-oriented environment.

• Collaborate with the team to share knowledge and foster a culture where everyone can learn and grow together.

• Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in web development, sharing knowledge and insights with cross-functional teams to drive innovation.

Tech Stack: 

• Frontend: React/TypeScript, Material UI. 

• Backend: Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq.

• DB: PostgreSQL, Redis.

• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, RSpec, Jest.

• Infrastructure: Heroku.
