Principal AI Engineer (Agentic AI)

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Principal AI Engineer (Agentic AI) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Europe. Our client is a global company that creates cutting-edge solutions for various industries. 

You'll develop and implement innovative AI applications, leveraging the latest Agentic AI technologies, to enhance the experience for external customers and facilitate the engineering teams. 

Requirements:

• Strong experience designing, building, and deploying Agentic AI systems in real enterprise production environments, including multi-agent orchestration, tool use, memory, planning, and workflow automation.

• In-depth understanding of multiple LLMs (including Claude, OpenAI, and open-source models) and optimizing, fine-tuning, and evaluating them for complex business use cases. Strong track record integrating AI agents into scalable, secure enterprise platforms with robust MLOps, observability, governance, and cloud deployment practices.

• Demonstrated ownership of at least 1–2 full-scale, production-grade AI agent systems delivered within large enterprises (e.g., Fortune 500 environments), including architecture design, cross-functional collaboration, security/compliance alignment, performance optimization, and post-launch monitoring - with measurable impact such as cost reduction, productivity gains, or revenue enablement at scale.

• 10+ years of full-time industry experience with ML/AI.

• At least 5+ years of experience in a senior technical leadership role.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

• Experience in developing AI-driven systems, using Generative AI and Agentic AI techniques, with frameworks like Llamaindex or LangChain.

• Expertise in deploying AI solutions in enterprise-level production environments.

• Knowledge of vector stores and advanced techniques for data ingestion, chunking, and retrieval.

• Strong knowledge of Python.

• Experience with cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes, and CI/CD for AI applications.

• Understanding of performance optimization and evaluation of agentic systems.

• Knowledge of security and ethical AI best practices in AI systems.

• Experience with training, fine-tuning of models on domain-specific data, and experience with AI frameworks like PyTorch.

• Publications or contributions to AI research in the field of GenAI, Agents, or related areas.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with semiconductor design workflows and EDA tools.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications collaborating within cross-functional squads: engineers, designers, and product managers.

• Design, develop, and deploy Agentic AI systems using leading agentic frameworks and cloud platforms.

• Integrate AI agents into internal enterprise systems and external customer-facing platforms.

• Adapt pre-trained generative AI models to meet specific use cases, ensuring seamless integration and performance.

• Handle large datasets to enable AI agents to process customer interaction data and semiconductor design data effectively.

• Work with sales, marketing, engineering, and technical support teams to align AI agent functionality with business and customer needs, and communicate solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders.

• Foster engineering culture, guide, mentor, support other engineers, conduct code & system reviews, and propose best practices.

• Keep abreast of advancements in Generative AI agent frameworks, semiconductor technologies, and customer engagement tools to enhance agent capabilities.
