Data Analyst / Visualization Engineer
Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Data Analyst / Visualization Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Europe. Our client is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing job sites.
You'll provide support to the Scaled Business Success Operational Excellence (SBS OE) team by leading the migration of revenue and program performance dashboards to Tableau. It includes transitioning existing dashboards, validating data accuracy and consistency, and supporting additional ad hoc initiatives such as migrating account movement dashboards to Tableau as needed. In addition, design and develop new dashboards and reporting solutions for SBS, and provide ad hoc support for data analysis and visualization—acting as a resource as business needs arise.
Overlap till 20:00 CET.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, with at least 3+ years of solid experience in a fast-paced tech/SaaS environment.
Professional experience as a Visualization Analyst with expertise not only in building visualizations in Tableau, but also in analyzing and working with the underlying data through scripts.
Experience working with Tableau Cloud (Tableau Online) environments.
In-depth understanding of the order of operations, context filters, data blending vs. relationships, and how to hack the tool to do things it wasn't natively designed to do.
Strong knowledge of SQL with an understanding of writing complex queries from scratch (CTEs, Window Functions, Nested Joins) without relying on drag-and-drop SQL generators.
Experience working with modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, AWS Athena).
Knowledge of data governance and data surfacing best practices with an eye for detail and consistency.
Understanding of the mechanics of a subscription business (SaaS) or digital product marketplaces.
The ability to present to C-Level executives and explain complex statistical concepts in plain English.
The ability to thrive in agile environments where requirements may shift, and you would be comfortable defining the roadmap when one doesn't exist.
Background in project management and Agile PM, e.g., using Jira/Linear/Asana.
Nice to have:
Tableau Certification.
Experience with version control (Git).
Some knowledge of Python or R for statistical modelling or scripting.
Knowledge of Figma/Adobe XD for prototyping dashboard designs.
Familiarity with embedded analytics (Tableau Server API).
Familiarity with databases, e.g., Snowflake/AWS.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade Tableau dashboards that serve as the "single source of truth" for the business.
Implement advanced Tableau features, including Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, complex parameters, set actions, and dynamic dashboard visibility.
Troubleshoot and optimize slow-performing workbooks/extracts, ensuring sub-second load times even with millions of rows.
Focus heavily on UI/UX, ensuring dashboards are intuitive for non-technical stakeholders and tell a clear, cohesive data story.
Understand the drivers and levers of business performance to support the creation of alerting and controls for business users embedded as a fundamental feature in the dashboards you build and support.
Partner with functional leads (Sales, Support, Marketing, Product, Analytics) to define KPIs and uncover the "why" behind the metrics.
Conduct deep-dive analysis on metrics (RoR, NRR, Churn, LTV, CAC) and Product usage data to identify growth opportunities.
Translate vague business questions into concrete analytical requirements and deliver actionable insights, not just data dumps.
Write complex, efficient SQL queries to structure and prepare data for analysis.
Collaborate with Analytics Engineers to define data models (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS).
Establish and enforce Tableau governance standards, including folder structures, publishing permissions, and certified data sources.
Act as the internal "Tableau Champion," hosting office hours or training sessions to upskill the wider business on self-service analytics.
We offer:
US and EU projects based on advanced technologies.
Competitive compensation based on skills and experience.
Regular performance appraisals to support your growth.
Flexibility in workspace, either remote or our welcoming office.
