Network Specialist Data Center ACI (Regular/Senior)

Our customer operates as a dynamic IT service provider, supporting the digital transformation of the German economy.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Regular/Senior Network Specialist / Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in integrating customers into our data centers / cloud environments. Besides that, you will further develop our Cisco ACI infrastructure and support our peers in operations.

Main responsibilities:

• Design robust network solutions, including low-level design and technical implementation planning. Implement these solutions, document them, and ensure a smooth transition into regular operation.
• Plan and set up networks in preparation for data center/cloud migrations (SAP and non-SAP) and provide support throughout the migration process.
• Gather and validate customer requirements, and support presales activities.
• Plan and implement proof-of-concept (PoC) projects to evaluate new technologies and solutions.
• Stay abreast of technological developments and contribute to service innovation. Identify automation potential and collaborate in the development and introduction of automated processes.
• Support our operational units in handling prioritized incidents and complex changes.
• Actively share knowledge among peers and with joiners.

Requirements:

• Completed training in IT or a successfully completed degree in computer science/business informatics or a comparable qualification.
• 8 years experience in planning and implementing complex network solutions, including migrations, as well as experience in operation and troubleshooting.
• Experience in customer consulting, including gathering and qualifying requirements.
• Professional- or Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Data Center Network technologies, especially ACI.
• Certifications are advantageous (i.e. CCNP).
• Knowledge of related data center domains, such as compute, virtualization, and storage.
• Basic programming and scripting skills, as well as knowledge of network automation.
• Experience in managed services or service provider environments and knowledge of ITIL processes.
