React / ReactNative Developer

Sport1 is seeking an experienced and driven React / ReactNative Developer to join our sports data team. In this role, you will build high-quality applications across web, mobile, and video platforms using React/React Native and TypeScript, integrate streaming content and ad formats, optimize for performance and privacy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences. Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop high-quality applications and libraries for web, mobile and video platforms using React/ReactNative and TypeScript

• Integrate VoDs, Livestreams and Sports Data

• Integrate Display-Ads as well as VAST-Video-Ads

• Optimize applications for performance, extensibility and data privacy

• Automate necessary build and test steps in our CI/CD environment

• Write and maintain unit and integration tests

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, Analytics, SEO, Streaming providers, and more

Required Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of experience in React/ReactNative development

• Experience with TypeScript and web as well as app development

• Experience with Node.js in a server-side environment, eg with Express or Next.js

• Experience with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI

• Experience with with an CI/CD environment

• Fluency in English

• Nice-to-Haves

  • Experiences with Swift or Kotlin for OS specific APIs

  • Experiences with GraphQL

  • Experiences with VAST

  • Experiences with video streaming

    
    

Soft Skills:  

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. 

• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.  

• Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. 

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Language Skills: English, proficiency in German is a plus, though not required. 

• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in software development.  

• Industry Experience: Previous experience in the sports, media, or entertainment industries is a plus. 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
