Backend Data Engineer
Join a SaaS/technology and information industry client team that is developing an AI-based tool to support B2B sales!
RESPONSIBILITIES
In your first month:
• Walk through the codebase and data architecture with the CPTO
• Understand our source expansion roadmap and current bottlenecks
• Ship your first improvement to data acquisition or pipeline reliability
In your first quarter:
• Own source expansion end-to-end (new data sources, integrations, scraping)
• Build robust data pipelines with proper error handling and monitoring
• Improve data quality systems - catch bad data before it pollutes signals
• Scale background job infrastructure for growing volume
Where we’re heading:
We want ZYNT to monitor everything relevant - events, job changes, company news, market shifts. You’ll build the plumbing that makes this possible: scraping at scale, multisource orchestration, and infrastructure that doesn’t wake anyone up at 3 AM.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have:
• 3-6 years backend engineering experience
• Experience building data pipelines or ETL systems in production
• Experience in working with AWS or GCP Cloud
• Web scraping experience (you know why it’s harder than it looks)
• TypeScript and/or Python fluency
• PostgreSQL proficiency - you can write efficient queries and design schemas
• Fluent Polish and English (C1+) - our customers and team speak both
The attitude:
• You build systems that don’t need babysitting
• You think about edge cases before they become incidents
• “It works on my machine” is not acceptable to you
• You enjoy making infrastructure invisible (when it works, nobody notices)
NICE TO HAVE
Startup or 0→1 experience
Background job systems (Trigger.dev, Redis, Celery, or similar)
API integrations with third-party services
DevOps basics (CI/CD, containers, monitoring)
Multi-tenant SaaS background
Experience with data quality or validation systems
