Job description

We are part of an international shared services team delivering infrastructure and database support to multiple external clients, primarily in France and Germany. Our focus is on ensuring secure, stable, and high-performing database environments across various industries.

As a Senior Database Administrator, you will work on tasks such as installation, upgrades, performance tuning, security management, backup and recovery, cloud migrations, and high availability setup. You’ll also automate routine operations and support capacity planning.


This role involves close cooperation with other IT teams responsible for systems, networks, and cloud platforms, providing you with a dynamic and collaborative working environment. We're looking for an experienced professional who is proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a multinational context.


Key Responsibilities

  • Database installation and configuration
  • Database major and minor upgrade
  • Performance tuning and optimization
  • Database maintenance - perform tuning maintenance task (rebuilding indexes, updating statistics, cleaning up old data etc)
  • Patch management - regularly update database system with the lates patches and security fixes
  • Database security - managing user permission, managing encryption
  • Create backup and recovery strategy
  • Set up database replication
  • Implement clustering technologies
  • Monitor database growth - capacity planning
  • Automation of routine tasks
  • Database migration (from on-premises to cloud)
  • Troubleshooting and incident management

Work system:
