Job description

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Sopra Steria Polska for a team that works for a client from banking sector in Belgium. You’ll take ownership of our CI/CD pipeline and development toolchain. This role is critical to streamlining our software delivery process and sits at the intersection of CloudOps and full-stack development teams.


You’ll be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and administering CI/CD tools, proposing optimizations, and testing and implementing new technologies. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy bridging infrastructure and development, this role is for you.

Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who are located in Poland and have EU citizenship.  


Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and administer CI/CD pipelines

  • Propose and implement optimizations across the toolchain

  • Test and integrate new technologies into the development workflow

  • Collaborate with CloudOps and development teams to ensure seamless delivery

  • Support automation and scheduling across environments


Must-Have Skills

  • Strong experience (min. 3 years) with Jenkins

  • Proficiency with GitLab

  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher

  • Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice.


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Artifactory, ArgoCD, SonarQ/SonarCube, Azure DevOps

  • Familiarity with Helm charts, Kubernetes, OpenShift, LoadBalancers

  • Programming knowledge in Java, NodeJS, and Web development

  • Hands-on experience with automation and scheduling tools like Ansible, Autosys, Airflow/Astronomer
