Sopra Steria is one of the largest players in the tech industry in Europe, known for its consulting, digital services and software development. We operate in nearly 30 countries in the world, hiring around 55,000 employees. Polish branch, as the Global Delivery Center, operates in Katowice since 2007 and has been growing ever since. In 2025 we've opened our second office in Gdańsk. Currently, our team consists of almost 1,000 specialists who share their expertise working in one of our two departments: Digital Platform Services or Application Services.
We are looking for DevOps Engineer to join Sopra Steria Apps Services team for a client in the aerospace sector. You will work in an industrial, stable environment in multinational team (France, Poland, Canada) for a major aeronautical manufacturer. The program involves wide portfolio of applications developed by multiple teams in modern technologies, that e.g., support pilots, crew and airline in planning the flights or various airport operations.
Tech Stack on the project:
· .NET 6,
· VueJS (Vue 2, 3),
· TypeScript,
· Bash, Python,
· AWS: AWS lambda, SAM, CloudFormation, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, Lambda Functions and other AWS services are used,
· Microservices-based architecture,
· GitLab, CI/CD in code, Jenkins/Cloudbees,
· CloudFormation, Artifactory,
· End to end testing with Selenium, Python and Gherkin (90% of test coverage required),
· Static code analysis, SonarQube.
Responsibilities:
· Configuration and deployment of infrastructure elements in AWS using cloud formation
· creating and maintaining pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins – migrating to Gitlab),
· advising the development team on the implementation of AWS services,
· writing scripts in Python, Bash.
· Contributing to integration, deployment, monitoring of the services
· Cooperating with a scrum team of developers
Must have requirements:
· At least 2 years of proven professional experience as a DevOps Engineer,
· experience with Infrastructure as a Code (cloud formation),
· experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI/Jenkins),
· fluent English (B2/C1)
· university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
· good communication skills and proactive team player approach,
· being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice and Gdańsk.
Nice to have requirements:
· Good knowledge of Python, Bash,
· experience with AWS,
· experience with Docker Orchestrators,
· knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB).
· Experience with Terraform
Work system:
Hybrid, the office is in Katowice and in Gdańsk
