DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Sopra Steria Apps Services team for a client in the aerospace sector. You will work in an industrial, stable environment in a multinational team (France, Poland, Canada) for a major aeronautical manufacturer. The program involves a wide portfolio of applications developed by multiple teams using modern technologies, that, for example, support pilots, crew and airline in planning the flights or various airport operations.

Tech Stack on the project:

1. .NET 6,
2. VueJS (Vue 2, 3),
3. TypeScript,
4. Bash, Python,
5. AWS: AWS lambda, SAM, CloudFormation, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, Lambda Functions and other AWS services are used,
6. Microservices-based architecture,
7. GitLab, CI/CD in code, Jenkins/Cloudbees,
8. CloudFormation, Artifactory,
9. End to end testing with Selenium, Python and Gherkin (90% of test coverage required),
10. Static code analysis, SonarQube.

Responsibilities:

1. Configuration and deployment of infrastructure elements in AWS using cloud formation
2. Creating and maintaining pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins – migrating to Gitlab),
3. Advising the development team on the implementation of AWS services,
4. Writing scripts in Python, Bash.
5. Contributing to the integration, deployment, monitoring of the services
6. Cooperating with a Scrum team of developers

Must have requirements:

1. At least 2 years of proven professional experience as a DevOps Engineer,
2. experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation),
3. experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI/Jenkins),
4. fluent English (B2/C1)
5. university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
6. good communication skills and proactive team player approach,
7. being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice and Gdańsk.

Nice-to-have requirements:

1. Good knowledge of Python, Bash,
2. experience with AWS,
3. experience with Docker Orchestrators,
4. knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB).
5. Experience with Terraform

Hybrid work model, with offices in Katowice and Gdańsk
