Job Description

The SmartRecruiters Internal Engineering Team is looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen and expand our infrastructure team. If you are passionate about automation, infrastructure and code, we have a spot with your name on it!

What You’ll Do:

• Cooperate closely with other Platform and Engineering teams on strategic initiatives

• Improve, automate and grow SmartRecruiters cloud platform

• Respond to client threats and remediate issues

• Support the engineering team in taking ownership of related infrastructure components

• Create base building blocks of IaC to be reused company-wide

• Mentor members of the engineering team

• Document standards, best practices, and policies

Qualifications:

• While not strictly required we see most of our Senior Engineers have 5+ years of professional experience

• Working knowledge of industry standards and best practices 

• Experience with AWS (or other cloud provider), Kubernetes, IaC tools and practices

• Proven track record of delivering solutions for infrastructure and container management

• Deep knowledge of the Linux operating system, with a focus on system hardening and troubleshooting performance issues

• Very good scripting skills (Bash and Python); coding experience (Golang, Java) is a plus

• Solid understanding of networking standards, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN and load balancing

• Experience managing database systems, both SQL and NoSQL is a plus

• Strong communication skills, with a good understanding of English, both verbal and written
