Our Customer is a Canadian technology company that specializes in developing independent voice AI solutions for businesses. Its platform enables brands to create custom voice assistants that provide natural interaction with users through speech.
Requirements
4+ years of experience in QA, preferably in Android, or experience in the Automotive industry
Strong understanding of Android testing tools (e.g., Espresso, UI Automator, ADB, Logcat)
Experience with AAOS, in-vehicle infotainment systems, or car hardware
Ability to test voice-based applications, real-time audio, and UX responsiveness
Familiarity with tools for test case management, bug tracking, and automated testing frameworks
Familiarity with automotive test protocols, compliance checklists, and HMI validation
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to assist with test automation
Responsibilities
Design and execute manual and automated test cases for the AAOS voice assistant app
Validate voice interactions, audio pipelines, and integration with car hardware APIs
Ensure app compliance with Android Automotive OS standards and OEM requirements
Build and maintain test plans, regression suites, and smoke tests across different hardware targets (e.g. emulators, dev boards, and in-vehicle systems)
Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to define acceptance criteria and test coverage
Investigate and report bugs, performance issues, and edge case failures with clear reproduction steps
Support continuous integration pipelines by integrating automated tests and tracking quality metrics
Participate in certification testing, field testing, and voice UX validation
