Software Subect Matter Expert (m/f/n)
We are looking for a Software Subject Matter Expert (m/f/n) to join our client's team, carrying out a project for one of the EU institutions in Warsaw.
About the project:
As a Software Subject Matter Expert, you will play a key role in supporting the Security Unit of an EU Agency in developing and implementing a comprehensive Security Governance Framework. You will provide in‑depth expertise on software‑related matters, ensuring that security principles, architectural requirements, and governance standards are effectively embedded across the organisation. In this role, you will offer expert advice, guidance, and technical insight to ensure the framework’s relevance, applicability, and long‑term effectiveness within the Agency.
Requirements:
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in IT
A minimum of 3 years project experience relevant to the profile or at a similar position
Higher degree diploma (bachelor or engineer) - IT relevant degree is not mandatory
English B2
Excellent knowledge of the subject at the design/architecture/implementation level
Good understanding of complex information systems and their interoperability
Knowledge of IT security standards
Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle and software development lifecycle
Open-minded, excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills
Supportive and helpful personality with a cooperative and service-oriented attitude
Specific requirements:
10 years of experience relevant to the job.
Sound knowledge of EU Regulatory acts.
Sound knowledge of the EU cybersecurity framework.
Experience working in large, complex, and highly regulated environments, preferably involving critical information systems or public‑sector governance.
Familiarity with European initiatives and large‑scale information systems related to security, situational awareness, or infrastructure management. (e.g., Copernicus, Galileo, et cetera).
Typical tasks and responsibilities:
Gathering, analysing, and assessing business needs related to the subject
Translating business requirements and needs into optimal technical designs and solutions
Implementing technical solutions in the area of expertise
Proposing and implementing improvements related to the subject
Maintaining up-to-date solution documentation, including technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user manuals, knowledge base articles etc.
If applicable, managing solution through the complete service/software development lifecycle
Offer:
Rate: 400-420 EUR/MD net (pure B2B, without paid holidays)
B2B contract signed with SHIMI
Long-term cooperation (minimum 4 years)
