Cyber Security Specialist (Internal Threat) & Cyber Defense Project

Salary: 1000-1200 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warszawa / Łódź (at least 2 days per week from the office)

Project

You will be involved in a financial sector project focused on strengthening the Insider Threat program and evaluating the effectiveness of existing Cyber Security tools used for prevention, protection, and detection of internal threats.

The role involves conducting a documented assessment of current security capabilities and recommending improvements to increase the maturity and efficiency of the organization’s security posture. Your expertise will support better risk management, stronger monitoring, and more effective use of existing security technologies.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of existing Cyber Security tools used for insider threat prevention, protection, and detection.
• Analyse current utilization of security technologies and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare a documented evaluation including findings, risk analysis, and prioritized recommendations.
• Propose adjustments to the current security setup and support their implementation in collaboration with internal security teams.
• Work closely with stakeholders from security, risk, and technology teams to ensure alignment with the Insider Threat Program.
• Ensure that all activities comply with financial sector regulations, internal security policies, and EU standards.

Expected competences and knowledge

• Documented experience working in a large-scale Cyber Security Insider Threat Program in a Subject Matter Expert role.
• Strong hands-on experience with various Cyber Security tools used for monitoring, threat detection, and risk prevention.
• Advanced technical and risk assessment skills within enterprise security environments.
• Proven experience working in the financial sector within the EU.
• Ability to prepare clear documentation, assessments, and recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to undergo Security Vetting Operations, including enhanced background checks and a security interview.
