Senior backend engineer - typescript/SQL

Shares (https://www.shares.io/) is a fintech startup created in Paris in 2021, now operating in the EU. We operate 3 business lines:

• 1- Shares B2C: mobile app for people in France and Poland to invest in stock market and cryptos

• 2- Shares Pro: web platform for wealth managers to manage title accounts for their customers

• 3- Shares Solutions: white-label tech platform for employee savings in France

Business lines 2 and 3 are B2B and represent 95% of our activity.

About the Role

We are looking for a Node/Typescript/SQL backend engineer to join our growing team (50 software engineers).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.

• Design and optimize SQL databases for performance and scalability.

• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a backend engineer or similar role.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.

• Experience with SQL and postgres

• Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
