The Role 

In this role, you will be responsible for product management of Sea’s Application Platform, focusing on creating value and ensuring viability for our internal product teams. One key component you will take ownership of is our shared data model for maritime contracts. This model is the foundation our customer-facing products are built on and ensures seamless interoperability between our products throughout the entire pre-fixture and at-fixture workflow, while ensuring that Sea has a reliable single source of truth for the status and history of all fixture negotiations taking place on our platform. You will work in close collaboration with a broad range of internal stakeholders like our technical leadership on building solutions that unlock valuable internal and customer-facing outcomes, such as reducing team cycle times, lifting data quality, and improving the interoperability of our products to unlock seamless customer workflows. 

You will also work with product teams to build out and evolve the shared data model for maritime contracts and other services, understanding their needs and where to focus development effort, while ensuring alignment with our business goals and vision. You will be the champion of the strategy for our application platform and sustain focus on delivering value early and often.

Additionally, you will be part of a team of Product Managers responsible for our customer-facing products and become part of a community developing the tools and practices that enable us to deliver value to our customers as efficiently as possible.

To be successful in this role, a robust understanding of modern software development frameworks and technical architecture is necessary. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with product management of internal tooling, shared services or shared databases and data models in the context of SaaS platforms – preferably in a B2B context.

Responsibilities

• Build a deep understanding of our internal stakeholders and the products they build and support for our customers.
• Work closely with your colleagues in engineering and design to identify opportunities and issues and ideate rapidly together to deliver and continuously improve on our application platform.
• Work collaboratively with teams and developers to align plans, unpick product related problems, and communicate changes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure our application platform is designed and built to relevant requirements.
• Be a product leader, sharing your work with leadership.
• Continuously monitor your products, track and review metrics to ensure we keep adding value.

Skills and experience

• Proven record of accomplishment in managing all aspects of a platform product with multiple internal stakeholders throughout its lifecycle.
• Experience with product management and collaboration in multidisciplinary product teams.
• Experience working in a dual-track agile development environment, balancing simultaneous product discovery and delivery.
• Passionate about building the best possible foundational data model for product teams and enabling the delivery of products that delight our customers.
• Comfortable with complex problem solving and data-driven decision-making.
• Keen sense of business value and prioritization. We are building a true end-to-end solution, collaborating with other teams and the ability to identify and leverage features across the platform is key, as well as articulating the business value of such changes.
• Approachable, excellent communicator – presenting to stakeholders both internally and externally is second nature to you.
• A self-starter who enjoys and has experience owning, shaping, transforming, and delivering a world class product.

• Salary: DOE 20 000 - 25 000 PLN/month (B2B) or UoP
