Your Role:

As the Head of Data Science and Data Engineering, you will oversee the development and management of our international team. Your work will directly contribute to creating AI tools that assist healthcare professionals and patients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Management of Data Operations:
• Build and enhance our data infrastructure, including the extraction of medical data from clinical centers and managing a large patient database.
• implementation of algorithms enabling extraction of specific features from patient records
• Algorithm Development:
• Develop Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools to analyze medical documentation.
• Design and deploy diagnostic algorithms to detect rare diseases.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead a diverse, international team of data scientists, data engineers, and AI specialists.
• Recruit, mentor, and support the professional growth of team members.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with medical, technical, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions.
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations and best practices in medical data protection.
• Process Optimization:
• Monitor and improve analytics processes, data collection pipelines, and integration of AI solutions.

Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing data science and engineering teams, ideally in the healthcare or biotech sector.
• Strong expertise in data extraction, processing, and managing large databases, with a focus on medical data.
• Hands-on experience in developing AI/ML models, including NLP applications.
• Very good knowledge of tools that improve data flow and analytical pipelines.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience leading international teams.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
