Role and Responsibilities

• Development of language resources (text processing rules, pronunciation dictionaries, speech databases) for text-to-speech models for German language
• Evaluation of text-to-speech system for German
• Collaboration with an internal team of language experts

Technologies in use

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in German Philology, Linguistics or a related field
• Expertise in Standard German phonology and grammar
• Good command of English, including English pronunciation
• Basic text processing skills (regex, handling CSV/TSV files)

Nice to have

• Native speaker of German (from Germany)
• Hands-on experience with current TTS systems
• Experience in audio processing
• Basic scripting and programming skills (bash, python)
• Basic understanding of machine learning
• B2 level in another European language
