Senior Java Developer for IoT Solutions

Samsung R&D Institute Poland is looking for Java Backend Developer, for the team working on SmartThings Pro and EHS projects - building IoT solution development. Role and Responsibilities

• Development of backend commercial solutions and PoC in IoT area
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of software engineering best practices
• Supporting full software development lifecycle of backend solutions
• Participate in international meetings and workshops
• Research about innovative solutions

•  Java 11, Spring-Boot
• PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ
• Azure, Docker, Kubernetes
• Git, Jira, Confluence

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Java/Spring developer
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with Microservice Architecture
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with cloud platforms (preferable Azure)
• Very good knowledge of Spring, REST API, SQL
• Knowledge of frontend technologies at least good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Knowledge of the Linux environment
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to write clean and high quality code
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in: preferably computer science, telecommunication, other STEM field
• Good English and Polish - communication level

Nice to have

• Previous experience in commercial projects
• Familiarity with related technologies Redis, RabbitMQ,
• Familiarity with CI/CD based on: Docker, Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Spring Security and OAuth
