Internship – VOD Application Front-End Intern

We are the team working on development of software dedicated to Smart and Interactive TV. By joining us you’ll get the chance of working on best contemporary solutions, as well as ones which will appear on the market in the future.  You will have a chance to design, develop and optimize Samsung TV VOD application technology platform's front-end components and user interfaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that empower our clients to reach their advertising goals efficiently and effectively.

Role and Responsibilities

·       Together with experienced engineers, you will be design and implement scalable and maintainable front-end architectures

·       Set and maintain high standards for code quality, code reviews, and best practices

·       Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, improve loading times, and optimize user experience

·       Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, back-end engineers to define requirements and implement effective solutions

·       Collaborate with peers and leaders across the various sites of Samsung, driving cross-site efforts to improve Tizen TV VOD capabilities

·       Maintain comprehensive documentation for front-end systems and processes.

·       Ensure robust testing procedures and continues integration to guarantee the reliability of our front-end applications 

Skills and Qualifications

·       Bachelor's or last year of Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

·       Experience building single-page applications (ReactJS, TypeScript) 

·       Expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and front-end libraries and frameworks (e.g., ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.js)

·       Ability to write automated tests (Jest)

·       Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and build tools (Webpack, NPM)

·       Knowledge in range of performance optimization, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility 

·       Curiosity, patience, problem-solving and good communication skills

·       Attitude for teamwork

Nice to have

·       Knowing also C#/C++ is a big plus
