Junior Software Engineer

The Team: 

We seek a suitable candidate to join our delivery team responsible for API development and API Platform management. This team is a dynamic group that builds, manages, and maintains both internal and customer-facing APIs.

Our team currently supports projects developed in C#/.NET, Python, and Go, and employs a tech stack that includes PostgreSQL, Databricks, and AWS.

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and assist in translating them into technical solutions.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of API applications using Python technologies.

• Support the deployment of applications and services to AWS cloud environments.

• Help develop and maintain web services.

• Participate in the delivery of features from the design phase to deployment in Production.

• Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code that adheres to established coding standards and best practices.

• Work with database technologies such as PostgreSQL to help design and develop efficient database structures.

• Assist in developing and maintaining unit and automated tests to ensure the quality of the software.

• Collaborate with other developers to identify and implement process improvements

Basic Required Qualifications:

• A passion for software engineering and a desire to learn.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java is a plus.

• Basic understanding of API development and support concepts.

• Exposure to cloud technologies, preferably AWS, is a plus.

• Familiarity with database technologies, particularly PostgreSQL, is desirable.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Enrollment in a degree program in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with modern front-end technologies is a plus.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certification (or willingness to pursue).

• Knowledge and practical experience with Agile development methodologies.
