AI Engineer
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
1st priority: Identify and deliver AI agent solutions that solve real business problems
2nd priority: Engage and coordinate external AI consultants when in-house delivery is not feasible
3rd priority: Maintain, monitor and improve AI agents already in production
The AI Engineer will act as a bridge between the business and the IT team — translating business needs into practical AI agents using LLM platforms such as Claude and ChatGPT, and engaging our preferred external consultants when a use case exceeds in-house capability.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
Build AI agents that solve real business problems
Engage with business stakeholders to identify automation and AI opportunities
Translate business needs into clear AI agent requirements and deliverables
Design, build, test and deploy AI agents using LLM platforms (Claude, ChatGPT and similar)
Apply prompt engineering, tool/function calling and basic agent orchestration
Document agents, prompts and integrations so knowledge stays inside the company
Engage external consultants when needed
Where a use case exceeds in-house capability, perform a structured analysis of the problem
Scope requirements, constraints and success criteria for handover to external consultants
Coordinate the work, verify deliverables and ensure they integrate with our systems and remain maintainable in-house
Maintain, govern and improve AI use across the business
Maintain agents in production: monitor performance, refine prompts, handle edge cases
Promote secure and responsible use of AI: data privacy, IP protection, GDPR and EU AI Act awareness
Stay current with developments in LLMs, agent frameworks and AI tooling
Share findings with the IT team and the wider business; raise the general AI literacy of the organization
Learn our business processes quickly and apply that knowledge in agent design

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
Strong, demonstrable experience using LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT or similar) — prompt engineering, multi-step interactions, tool/function calling
Practical experience building or customizing AI agents, chatbots or LLM-powered automations (professional, freelance or substantial personal-project experience accepted)
Working knowledge of Python (or comparable language) sufficient to integrate APIs and assemble agent workflows
English and Polish as business language (speaking and writing)
A formal university degree in AI or machine learning is NOT required — we value demonstrable building skills over credentials
