Project Manager – SAP Master Data Governance

🔍 About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) to lead the end-to-end implementation and rollout of SAP MDG solutions. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong project governance with deep SAP MDG expertise and excels in coordinating cross-functional, global teams.

You will play a key role in delivering a scalable, high-quality master data governance framework while working closely with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of SAP MDG projects: discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare

• Own project governance: plans, schedules, budgets, RAID logs, and communication strategies

• Drive master data governance strategy (data models, workflows, validation rules, ownership)

• Run business workshops for requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and process design

• Manage cross-functional teams (SAP functional consultants, developers, data architects, integration teams)

• Oversee SAP MDG configuration, workflows (BRF+), UI modeling, replication, and integrations with SAP S/4HANA and non-SAP systems

• Lead data migration activities: strategy, cleansing, validation, and cutover

• Ensure delivery in line with SAP Activate / Agile methodologies and PMO standards

• Maintain stakeholder alignment via Steering Committees and leadership updates

• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and quality standards

• Support user training, change management, and knowledge transfer

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–15+ years of overall IT experience

• 10+ years of Project Management experience

• 5+ years managing SAP MDG programs

• Strong expertise in MDG domains: Material, BP/Customer/Vendor, Finance, EAM (as applicable)

• Hands-on understanding of MDG data models, workflows, BRF+, UI modeling, and data replication

• Experience in global, multi-country SAP implementations

• Strong knowledge of MDM/MDG frameworks and data quality management

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, BODS/SLT, Information Steward, and migration tools

• PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification (preferred)

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Strong problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making abilities

• Ability to work effectively in complex, matrixed global environments

• High ownership, accountability, and structured delivery mindset
