We’re looking for a Software Engineer with expertise in self-managed storage solutions, such as Redis and Kafka, who’s excited about building and operating critical infrastructure at a global scale.
Since most of our core infrastructure is designed, built, and operated internally, you'll be developing for resilience, automation, and scale from day one.
Up to shape what’s next in finance? Let’s get in touch.
What you'll be doing
Designing, operating, and evolving our storage solutions, such as Kafka clusters at scale, across cloud and/or on-premise environments
Building and maintaining self-managed, highly available distributed systems (messaging, storage, data infrastructure)
Architecting multi-region deployments, failover strategies, and disaster recovery for mission-critical systems
Developing infrastructure as code and internal self-service platforms to enable engineering teams to provision and operate safely at scale
Driving automation across provisioning, scaling, upgrades, patching, and incident remediation
Contributing to reliability standards (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets) and improving observability across the stack
Working closely with backend, platform, security, and compliance teams to design infrastructure that meets regulatory and audit requirements
Participating in incident response and postmortem processes, focusing on systemic improvements rather than firefighting
What you'll need
Expertise operating Apache Kafka in production at scale, including cluster provisioning, lifecycle management, capacity planning, performance tuning, replication, failover, and resilience design
Knowledge of security hardening (ACLs, encryption, authentication)
A background in SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering
A deep understanding of distributed systems concepts (consensus, partitioning, fault tolerance, backpressure, networking)
Experience with Linux, containerisation (Docker), and Kubernetes
Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and configuration management (e.g., Ansible)
Familiarity with CI/CD systems and automation pipelines
The ability to independently design and deliver complex systems in collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders
Hands-on software engineering skills
Nice to have
Experience operating other stateful systems at scale (e.g., Postgres, Redis, object storage)
Knowledge of monitoring and observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Stackdriver, Vector, VictoriaMetrics)
Exposure to regulated environments or financial systems
Experience operating infrastructure across cloud (GCP/AWS) and on-premise environments
Compensation range
Krakow: PLN28,300 - PLN40,000 gross monthly*
Poland: PLN28,300 - PLN40,000 gross monthly*
Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process
*Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
