Shopify Solution Architect

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and document full technical architecture for new and existing Shopify stores (mainly Shopify Plus), including storefronts, backend systems, integrations, and security

• Build complex integrations between Shopify and important enterprise systems such as ERP, OMS, PIM, WMS, CRM, and CDP using REST and GraphQL APIs

• Develop, customize, and maintain high-quality Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript or frameworks like React

• Create and maintain custom Shopify apps (private or public) and use Shopify Functions and Checkout Extensibility for advanced features

• Act as a trusted technical advisor for client leaders (CTO, CIO) and technical teams on Shopify topics

• Work with the Sales team on technical reviews, solution design, effort estimates, and technical presentations for clients

• Follow development standards and best practices

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in e-commerce architecture or technical consulting, including at least 3 years with Shopify

• Strong knowledge of Shopify, especially Shopify Plus, admin tools, Liquid, and the app ecosystem

• Experience with headless Shopify setups, including Hydrogen and Oxygen

• Experience building custom Shopify apps and using Shopify Functions and Checkout UI extensions

• Strong hands-on experience with Shopify REST and GraphQL APIs and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Next.js)

• Experience with MS Entity Framework

• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as ERP, OMS, and PIM

• Good communication skills

• Strong critical thinking and creativity

• A structured and logical approach to problem-solving and teamwork

Nice to Have

• Shopify certification or other e-commerce certifications

• Experience moving from old platforms to new ones

• Knowledge of back-end languages such as Node.js or Ruby
