About the Project

You’ll be working on a next-generation video generation system powered by:

• Gemini API for generative AI capabilities

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for infrastructure, scaling, and deployment

• Python-based backend services for orchestration, processing, and integrations

The system involves AI inference pipelines, media processing, cloud-native services, and scalable backend architecture.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable backend systems

• Lead development of AI-driven video generation pipelines

• Integrate and optimize usage of Gemini API

• Design and manage cloud-native infrastructure in GCP

• Implement performance optimizations for compute-heavy workloads

• Guide junior developers and enforce best practices

• Ensure high reliability, security, and observability

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Python experience

• Strong backend architecture experience (microservices, async, APIs)

• Advanced experience with GCP services (e.g., Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, IAM)

• Experience with AI/ML integrations (LLMs, generative AI, or media processing is a strong plus)

• Experience with Docker & CI/CD pipelines

• Strong understanding of distributed systems

• GCP Certification (Professional Cloud Architect / Developer) – highly preferred

• Comfortable overlapping with team until 1 PM EST

Nice to Have

• Experience in video processing (FFmpeg, streaming pipelines)

• Experience scaling inference workloads

• Startup experience
