Mid-Level Python Developer

Compensation: $3,000 – $4,000 USD/month

Overlap: At least until 1PM EST – 19:00 CET (Polish Time)

About the Project

You’ll be working on a next-generation video generation system powered by:

• Gemini API for generative AI capabilities

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for infrastructure, scaling, and deploymentPython-based backend services for orchestration, processing, and integrations

The system involves AI inference pipelines, media processing, cloud-native services, and scalable backend architecture. You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers to build and improve core system components.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based backend services

• Contribute to AI-driven video generation pipelines

• Integrate and work with Gemini API

• Support deployment and infrastructure tasks in GCP

• Implement APIs and contribute to microservices architecture

• Optimize performance of backend services

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

• Participate in code reviews and team discussions

• Ensure reliability, security, and observability standards are followed

Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional experience with Python

• Solid understanding of backend development (REST APIs, async basics, services)

• Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable)

• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines

• Basic understanding of distributed systems concepts

• Experience integrating third-party APIs

• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

• Comfortable overlapping with team until 1 PM EST

Nice to Have

• Exposure to AI/ML integrations (LLMs, generative AI, or media processing)

• Familiarity with GCP services (Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage)

• Experience with video processing tools (e.g., FFmpeg)

• Startup or fast-paced product environment experience
