We are currently looking for a Senior Platform Engineer, willing to join a project for our strategic client – one of the largest manufacturing companies from Sweden, to join our Data Platform Team, where you will play a key role in building and evolving our cloud-native data platform.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data platform on AWS. You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and product teams to enable the development of Data and AI products. Your focus will be on infrastructure, automation, and platform capabilities that support both technical and non-technical users.

🔷Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a self-serve data platform using AWS services, Terraform, and Kubernetes 

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation 

• Implement and maintain infrastructure standards, security best practices, and access management

• Ensure platform scalability, observability, and cost optimization

• Support cloud platform operations across multiple AWS accounts and environments

• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform usability and operational efficiency

• Participate in platform architecture discussions and continuous platform improvements

• Implement and manage data mesh principles to support domain-oriented data ownership

•  Implement data governance practices including cataloging, lineage, and access control 

• Collaborate in a Scrum team to deliver platform features in an agile, iterative manner 

• Support platform users and promote best practices across teams

🎯Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM, EKS, Redshift), with the last 5 years as AWS Cloud Infrastructure

• Experience of working with multi account cloud infrastructure

• Proficiency in Terraform , Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation

• Familiarity with Kubernetes setup and operations

• Experience working in agile/Scrum delivery teams

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with deploying Databricks in AWS

• Understanding of Databricks Platform

• Understanding of data lakehouse and medallion architecture

• Knowledge of data mesh concepts and implementation

• Programming skills in Python
