We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a long-term engagement with a well-established client delivering safety solutions for the logistics industry across the US and Canada. In this role, you’ll take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure based on Azure and Kubernetes.
Our client operates in US timezones (EST), but remains flexibile in terms of working hours, requiring only 4h overlap for the purpose of business meetings & syncs (max 20:00 Polish time).
Responsibilities
Develop and provision cloud (Azure) and Kubernetes infrastructure to support new product features.
Collaborate with product development teams to deploy scalable, modular, and maintainable infrastructure.
Ensure reliability, stability and availability of high-performance systems by supporting development teams with their deployments and troubleshooting
Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) practices to manage deployments and promote consistency across environments.
Optimize monitoring for proactive faults detection, reduce failure detection time, and improve failure repair times.
Work with both Relational (PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and non relational (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Elasticsearch) data stores.
Implement and maintain capacity monitoring and alerts for Azure resources, including VMs, AKS, databases, and storage accounts.
Support engineering teams in resolving non-incident operational issues across all environments.
Provide expert technical assistance during service degradation or misconfigurations.
Collaborate with teams to build proactive alerts and observability tools that reduce operational overhead.
Introduce tools and solutions to facilitate automation and stability of deployments and operations
Review existing solutions and identify opportunities to improve overall productivity for efficient build and release management.
Requirements
Min. 5 years of experience as Cloud, Infrastructure or DevOps Engineer
Strong experience with Azure & Kubernetes infrastructure management including development of large-scale and distributed systems.
Building reusable and scalable infrastructure components and automation (Infrastructure as Code) via Terraform and Ansible.
Ability to share your knowledge, experiences and opinions on the forum via technology demos / brainstorming sessions
Linux (Ubuntu, Redhat) & Windows (2019+) administration and troubleshooting skills
Willingness to take initiative, challenge the situation and drive projects to completion without direct supervision
Experience with developing & maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Github Actions)
Fluent verbal and written skills in English (B2+)
Familiarity with tools (Copilot studio, Github Copilot Enterprise, SafeGPT) will be a plus
Willingness to work afternoon hours, with availability up to 8:00 PM CET (Polish time).
