Senior Engineer (Data / SQL / Python)

About the Project

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong software engineering skills to join the team responsible for the core data layer of our central system. At the foundation of our work lies a PostgreSQL database powering the organization’s main application. Our goal is to ensure that data is consistent, reliable, and efficiently processed — while building robust, scalable solutions that directly impact the quality and performance of the company’s core platform.

This is not a “pure SQL” or “pure app developer” role — we’re looking for someone who can bridge software engineering and data engineering: an engineer who codes with best practices in mind and applies those skills in the data domain.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and storage

• Build and maintain Python-based components for data processing and integration with the main application

• Apply solid engineering practices (testing, clean code, design decisions) to ensure quality and scalability

• Collaborate with other engineers to shape the system’s architecture and drive technical decisions

• Ensure data consistency, accessibility, and performance across the platform

  
  

Requirements

• Strong SQL expertise and practical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL a strong plus)

• Proven track record of delivering production-grade applications and making responsible technical decisions

• Willingness to work in Python — prior experience in Python or other programming languages is welcome

• Engineering mindset — methodical, analytical, and focused on long-term quality
