Who We Are

We are a software house with two teams totaling 18 people. For over a decade, we've collaborated with a single strategic client: a publicly traded American technology company.

Working in close integration with our client's teams, we develop software for text analysis and ontology management. This software is used by international corporations such as NASA, HP, Johnson & Johnson, Boeing, Nike, Merck, Sony, BBC, and many others.

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to take on a key role within our company. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that both the client and our developers are satisfied with the collaboration. Our client is a corporation that values quarterly planning, implementing procedures, meeting standards, and organizational changes. Our team, on the other hand, consists of developers who want to spend as much time as possible writing code. If you can understand the needs of both sides and find solutions that everyone can agree on, this job is for you.




Your Responsibilities

Client-Facing:

  • Representing RD Projekt's interests: negotiating priorities, scope, and changes to ensure they don't compromise the developers' comfort and work-life balance (all in English, on a daily basis).

  • Flagging potential risks to team structure or collaboration quality.

  • Representing the teams at events like PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt, and Ops Review.

  • Developing and improving internal processes.

Team-Facing:

  • Gathering feedback through 1:1 meetings and by being present at daily stand-ups and weekly team wrap-ups.

  • Solving problems as they arise and providing support with planning.

  • Monitoring adherence to established practices related to security, timely releases, and methodology compliance.

  • Supporting developers in fulfilling additional roles (e.g., Scrum Masters, Security Champions).

  • Assisting with recruitment processes.




Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can care for people while operating smoothly within a corporate and technological environment. Apply if you:

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in managing developer teams (of at least 5 people).

  • Have experience working with corporate clients.

  • Can advocate for the team's interests without damaging the client relationship.

  • Are a confident and effective communicator in English, both in business contexts (client negotiations) and technical ones (developer issues).

  • Can find solutions to complex organizational and technical problems, both independently and with the help of others.

  • Understand software development processes and technologies related to CI/CD, security, and Agile methodologies, such as SAFE and Scrum. Knowledge of SAMM and vulnerability management is a plus.

  • Value building relationships with the team (every other Thursday, we go out after work to spend time together in an informal atmosphere).

  • Are interested in a long-term collaboration.
