At QuantumFly, we are building next-generation autonomous aerial drones powered by advanced AI and computer vision. These systems operate under real physical constraints: limited compute, limited power, imperfect data, unpredictable environments.

We are a deep tech startup operating in dual-use domains: search & rescue and defensive systems, including high-speed drone interceptors.

We are looking for an AI technology owner. As AI Lead, you will take full end-to-end ownership of the AI stack behind our drone platform — from perception models to decision logic to embedded deployment. You will define what “AI on a drone” means in this company.

You will work in close partnership with the CTO, co-shaping the AI roadmap and making key architectural decisions.

Initially, you will work hands-on: designing, training, optimizing and deploying models on edge hardware.

Soon, you will evolve into the architect and leader of the AI autonomy layer, building your own AI team.

This role is closer to a technical co-founder mindset than a typical engineering position. In particular you will represent AI competence in strategic and investor discussions.

This is not the role just for clearly defined tickets!

Responsibilities

You will own the AI/ML/Neural networks stack A–Z:

Define AI architecture and standards

Design, train, and optimize real-time computer vision models (YOLO-class)

Deploy and optimize AI models for edge devices

Build AI-based perception and decision logic integrated with flight controlers

Own the full ML lifecycle: data, training, evaluation, deployment

Work closely with robotics and flight engineers

Required Skills

Strong ownership mindset

Several years of experience in ML / Deep Learning

Strong computer vision background

YOLO / object detection experience

PyTorch, OpenCV,

Dataset preparation and annotation

Edge deployment experience

Python

Fluent English,

Hailo experience

ROS 2

UAV or robotics background
