Senior Back End Engineer (GO) (3-6 months project)

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our client team and help us build an internal communications platform. We are looking for empathetic and motivated team players who are motivated by growth and ownership. 

As part of our tech stack, we are using: React.js, Javascript, Typescript, Kotlin, Go, Java, MongoDB, Terraform, Docker and Playwright, to name a few.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that power our AI applications

• Lead development of low latency voice enabled AI applications  

• Apply advanced prompt engineering techniques to optimize model performance, manage context windows, and ensure reliable, high-quality responses

• Implement model integration patterns to connect and orchestrate various external and internal services 

• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical strategy planning

• Define and implement observability standards for AI applications, including metrics for latency, cost, token usage

• Collaborate with ML Scientists and Data Scientists to transition prototypes and models into production-ready, high-availability services

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in backend software development engineer

• At least 3+ years of experience in GoLang

• Team player and close collaboration with PM, Frontend and other Backend engineers

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Previous experience in building MVPs, gathering user feedback, and iterating quickly to identify and achieve product-market fit.

• You are a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team

Beneficial

• Practical experience integrating with AI/ML models into production systems.

• Experience building backend systems designed for complex agentic workflows Familiarity with foundational LLM concepts such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
