Software Project Manager
Requirements
Experience: Proven track record of managing software development projects, preferably in a software house or tech company.
Methodologies: Strong practical knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and traditional Waterfall frameworks.
Tools: Proficiency in project management software, specifically Jira, Confluence.
Technical Literacy: Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and basic technical concepts (APIs, Cloud, CI/CD, Git).
Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Nice to have
Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, Professional Scrum Master (PSM I / PSM II), or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
Technical Background: Former experience as a software developer, QA engineer, or system analyst (Technical Project Manager profile).
Domain Expertise: Industry-specific knowledge in high-demand sectors like FinTech or Gaming.
Emerging Technologies: Hands-on experience managing projects involving AI/Machine Learning, Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure/GCP), or Big Data.
Client Management: Proven experience in vendor-side project management, dealing directly with external clients.
Data & Analytics: Ability to use data-driven insights and metrics (such as Velocity, Burndown charts, and Cumulative Flow) to optimize team performance.
DevOps Awareness: Understanding of modern deployment pipelines, microservices architecture, and automated testing environments.
Responsibilities
Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Timeline Management: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and roadmaps using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Team Coordination: Lead, motivate, and coordinate cross-functional teams including software developers, QA engineers, and DevOps.
Resource Allocation: Manage project resource availability, workload distribution, and budget tracking.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and technical bottlenecks to prevent delays.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders, delivering regular status reports.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all software deliverables meet quality standards, acceptance criteria, and project specifications.
Sprint Management: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospectives.
