Platform Engineer
As a Platform Engineer you will be responsible for managing cloud platform configurations to ensure security and automation for applications. You will drive the investigation and resolution of cloud and security incidents impacting cloud products and services. Additionally, you will innovate by running proof of concepts and assessing cloud partners' third-party ecosystem solutions for applicability to our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform cloud platform management via Configuration Management to ensure security and full stack automation for applications, driving the use of the platform and standards for all applications.
Support the creation and testing of APIs used in customer-facing apps.
Collaborate with development teams on code review, troubleshooting, opportunities for automation and possible improvements to the existing solutions.
Participate in ensuring continuous improvement and engineering maturity across cloud solutions.
Maintain relationships and influences product teams to ensure best solution.
Directly contribute to the Cloud Community of Practice collaboration hubs to foster participation, upskilling, and reusability of code and standards across the company.
Job Qualifications
Experience working with application related services in Azure such as App Service, Azure Kubernetes Services and others.
Experience working with Docker, Docker Compose and Kubernetes.
Experience utilizing Terraform or CloudFormation to deploy Infrastructure-as-Code
Experience with scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell)
Good understanding of DevOps practices, DevOps tools such as Github Actions, CI/CD, privacy and software security concepts.
Strong troubleshooting skills for cloud related issues
Strong communication skills and the ability to build high quality relationships with P&G IT and shared service organizations, business partners, clients, users, company leaders and external partners.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to learn and develop technical expertise through self-learning, external courses and industry certifications.
English proficiency allowing for smooth communication in corporate environment
WHAT WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS (NICE TO HAVE, BUT NON-MANDATORY):
Understanding of modern website tech stack (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, React and Rest based web services).
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
Previous experience with large and complex corporate environment.
Azure Cloud certification (e.g. AZ-305, AZ-300, AZ-104, AZ-204)
