Test Automation Engineer

At Pretius, we are looking for Test Automation Engineer to a project in the financial industry, international team.

Project / Role

• Participate across the testing lifecycle: test planning, design, automation, execution, reporting, and support 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to define testable requirements and acceptance criteria 

• Design, build, and maintain automated tests for APIs, web UIs, services, and data pipelines

• Implement test frameworks, fixtures, and utilities in Python, Java to enable fast, reliable feedback 

• Set up and optimize CI/CD test pipelines, artifacts, and quality gates 

• Create and maintain clear test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports 

• Champion quality practices: shift-left testing, risk-based testing, and continuous improvement 

• Monitor test flakiness and performance, optimize stability and execution time 

• Contribute to non-functional testing

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with Python and Java for test automation

• Hands-on experience with Web UI automation (Playwright, Selenium) 

• Knowledge of CI/CD integration for automated tests (Azure DevOps) 

• Solid understanding of testing strategies and levels (unit, integration, e2e)

• Experience with BDD practices and tools (Cucumber, Robot Framework)

• Exposure to test data management and environment configuration 

• Proficiency with version control (Git) and code review workflows 

• SQL proficiency for validating data and back-end flows 

• Familiarity with cloud and containers (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) 

  
  

Nice-to-Have: 

• Familiarity with performance testing and basic security testing practice 

• Knowledge of static analysis and code quality tools for Python

• Frontend test experience

• Experience with machine learning software
