Java Tech Lead

At Pretius we are looking for Java Tech Lead to a project in the financial industry, international team.

Project / Role

• Leading the design and architecture of enterprise-grade Java solutions

• Defining technical standards, best practices, and coding guidelines

• Driving architectural decisions in microservices and cloud environments

• Reviewing code and ensuring high quality, performance, and security standards

• Mentoring and supporting developers within the team

• Collaborating with Solution Architects, DevOps, Business Analysts, and stakeholders

• Overseeing CI/CD processes and deployment strategies

• Supporting estimation, planning, and technical risk assessment

Requirements

• 8+ years of commercial experience in Java development

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot, and microservices

• Solid understanding of software architecture patterns and distributed systems

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Proven experience in leading development teams or acting as technical authority

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders

• Fluent English (C1 level)

Nice to have:

• Experience in financial services or regulatory environments

• Knowledge of Kafka or event-driven architecture

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM, etc.)
