Data Engineer

At Pretius, we are looking for Data Engineer to a project in the financial industry, international team.

Project / Role

• Design and build automated data pipelines and reusable data assets using Python

• Translate business problems and analytical needs into well‑structured datasets and data products

• Develop frameworks and utilities for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and enrichment

• Partner with business, analytics, and product teams to interpret data requirements and define data outputs

• Enable faster insights by improving data accessibility, documentation, and usability

• Implement data quality checks and lightweight governance to ensure trust in data assets

• Continuously improve existing pipelines through refactoring, automation, and performance optimization

• Contribute to experimentation with new tools, patterns, and approaches to data engineering

Requirements

• Strong Python skills, especially for automation, orchestration, and reusable components

• Solid SQL skills and understanding of analytical data structures

• Experience with Spark / PySpark and modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks)

• Ability to understand business context and convert it into technical data solutions

• Experience working with cloud data environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
