Data Engineer (Azure / MS SQL / ETL) - hybrid in Kraków

For the project that we are working on with our partner, we are looking for Data Engineer (Azure / MS SQL / ETL).

Your duties will include: 

• Design and build data pipelines using Azure Data Factory

• Modernize and migrate ETL/ELT processes (including SSIS) and legacy solutions to the cloud

• Build and maintain batch and near-real-time data workflows

• Design and develop Data Warehouse / Data Lake architectures (dimensional modelling, star/snowflake schemas)

• Optimize and tune MS SQL Server / Azure SQL environments

• Integrate data from multiple sources (APIs, files, secure platforms)

• Collaborate closely with backend teams (.NET / API)

• Contribute to solution architecture and documentation (SDD)

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with security standards

• Support the analytics layer (Power BI)

Requirements that must be met:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role

• Strong hands-on experience with MS SQL Server / Azure SQL

• Experience designing and building ETL/ELT processes using:- Azure Data Factory- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

• Strong SQL skills (complex queries, optimization, performance tuning)

• Practical experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake / ADLS Gen2

• Solid understanding of Data Warehouse concepts (dimensional modelling, star/snowflake schema)

• Experience building batch / near-real-time data pipelines

• Experience integrating data from multiple sources (APIs, files, secure platforms)

• Familiarity with Power BI (data models, refresh strategies, performance)

• Very good English and Polish

• Willingness to work in a hybrid system
