About the Project

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a long-term project for an international client from the media and broadcasting industry.

The role involves taking over responsibilities from a key client-side team member who is currently on long-term sick leave. You will work on large-scale data platforms and analytical solutions supporting critical business processes in a modern cloud-based environment.

This is an opportunity to work with advanced data engineering technologies, large data volumes, and international teams delivering high-impact solutions.

Requirements

Must-have

• Senior-level experience in Data Engineering

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • AWS CDK

  • AWS Lambda

  • Databricks

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Google App Engine

  • BigQuery

  • Dataproc

  • Apache Airflow

  • Terraform

• Very good knowledge of:

  • PySpark

  • SQL

• Practical experience in:

  • Data Quality initiatives

  • Unit Testing

  • Integration Testing

• Experience with CI/CD tools:

  • GitHub Actions

  • Jenkins

• Experience working in distributed and international teams

• English proficiency at B2+ level or higher

Nice to Have

• Experience working in media, broadcasting, or data-intensive industries

• Strong understanding of cloud-native data architectures

• Experience supporting business-critical analytical platforms

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data engineering solutions

• Build, optimize, and support ETL/ELT data pipelines

• Process and manage large-scale datasets with a strong focus on Data Quality

• Develop solutions using PySpark and SQL

• Create and maintain unit and integration tests

• Automate deployment and delivery processes using CI/CD practices

• Collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders

• Ensure continuity of ongoing initiatives by taking over responsibilities from a key client-side engineer
